It is up to us humans to teach our dogs what we want from them. Remember that it doesn’t happen overnight. Teaching a behavior/skill to a dog takes consistency, patience and lots of practice with good reinforcements. It isn’t fair to expect a dog to become fluent in the human language, a completely foreign language - without proper instruction which includes compassionate guidance. Train, don't blame!
